Ok....here's a good question.....

With the exception of the player cities covering PoIs, why would a player even wish to go back into a city where they have been /warned and treated badly. No offense, but this just sounds like people getting mad because they are not wanted back in said city.

This is politics......

As a mayor, i am very hesitant to warn or ban anyone. It is a last resort (there are bound to be times where there's just no other alternative). I know that if i give my city a reputation of being an unfriendly place to visit then people will not buy things to help support my economy. Furthermore i will eventually lose residents because of the bad reputation my city will have earned. This is freakin politics. Hence the need for a Politician class! I'm already seeing some of this from other cities on my server. They are struggling because of hostilities such as this. In the SWG EU there were good politicians and there were bad politicians. Shouldn't in be the same in game? If someone wishes to lock themselves within a stronghold and not let anyone else in, then that should be thier god given right. Their citizens elected this course of action, and if they change thier mind then they can petition the current mayor or elect a new one.......DUH. Am i the only one seeing this, or am i way off base here?

I understand that there are PoI problems. If a city has chosen to cover a PoI (yes.....they knew it was there before they built the city) then by all rights they should lose their /warn commands. It's a simple solution to a simple problem.

I also agree that people should be given 5 minutes to vacate a city after being /warned. Why 5 minutes? Five minutes is way more than enough time for someone to leave a city. Not 10. Not 15. Five. Darth Vader would never say "You have acted in an unprofessional manor. Pls finish your taunting and/or shopping and politely leave my city" Heck no! He'd say "You have acted in an unprofessional manor. Leave at once or you will die!".

Devs.....You have given the players a chance to establish thier own economy and run thier own cities. Now you want to run them for us? What about the Stronghold benifits in the politician tree? Is this just gonna become another empty box?

Correct the only reason people to complain about citywarn is that is keeps them from POI and I agree that was a big mistake by the DEVs. However they seem to be taking the easy way out and removing something instead of just making it so citywarn doesn't work in the POI zones. I agree completely if a group of players want to have a stronghold that they should be able to defend it as they see fit. How many times have you been in a cantina or medical center being spamed by posers who do nothing but run stupid insult macro all the time and wish you could just shoot them cause they refused to stop. That was the whole point we wanted out player city. We wanted to be able to control who would be able to to in our city and force players to respect the wishes of other or just get out of town. Its not like they aren't other cities to go to. We don't have anything that other cities don't have so why should have to allowed to come to our city cause they want to annoy us because they are jerks. As I said POIs are the only reason players should have to visit any city and by fixing that issue there shouldn't be any problem with citywarn.
