Thread: Plinka: New Player-City Bug Mayor: Null
I have yet to see anyone post this one yet.
I went to the City Management Terminal to check the Status tab as I frequently do only to find the Mayor listed as "Mayor: Null" We are a class V Metropolis with 129 citizens and have had our hall down since the servers came up on City-Patch Day. I have won every election and received 100% of the vote (minus 1 vote the first week, mine) and no one has run against me at all. I then checked the city ballot box and found under the View Standings option that no one was running against the Incumbant. Then I tried to vote and was greeted with the option of voting for "Incumbant: Null". I registered my name to vote and then viewed the standings.
The standings are now at "Incumbant: Null 8 votes" and "Tempel Makyu'Wen 120 votes".
The loss of 800 xp to me is important, but not nearly as important as seeing that the Mayor on the City Management Terminal is listed as "Null". With the city update a scant two days awayI am alarmed at the idea that a bug can oust me. We need this issue escalated and looked into. I will open a CSR ticket about it also.
Thanks for any help you can give me Plinka, and thanks again for all the hard work you are doing.
Please devs give us a nod on this one, this bug could be the ruination of cities we have worked so hard far. What happens to the cities when "Null" gets elected?
This is a real problem that needs to be addressed quickly, before bad things start happening to evey player city across SWG.
My City also has the NUll mayor now, any ideas,, getting no responce from csr's
This isn't a new bug, Its actualy a rare one that occured on TC to me durring city testing.
If you become Null (this happened to me durring testing) there is a mechanisim that appears on your city hall terminal that 'restores mayorial citzenship'.
At least thats what happened to fix me on Test.
