Thread: Need Citzens? I got an offer for you
GREAT IDEA! ![]()
Why you wanna have a city when its EMPTY? GHOST TOWNS > ever heard about it?
You steal other cities who HAVE the needed citizen the slot!
Shame on you
Why would anyone want to do this?
Maybe not everyone has the time and effort needed to search for people to build their city. Because of the requirements - 55 for a shuttleport - that's difficult to dowithout a PA or by one's self /small player-group.
SWG is to allow the CASUAL gamer to play the way they want. If a player wants to start their own city, so be it. Aside of that, why be bothered with having to put up with randomplayers whom might not have any involvementwith a city at all, but chose toon a whim. I recently had a citizen choose to leave the city, but left his house. I asked him if he wouldmove it - and his exact words, were "I'm not going all the way back to Talus."
There's nothing wrong with "trading" structure slots across servers - just as there's nothing wrong with YOU trading your holocrons.
There is plenty wrong with it like the bitching we have to hear from these people who don't consider the ramifications of their actions. Like a mayor wanting to step down, but they can't because they can't get enough people to vote for a new politician because half their population are ghosts. Like a mayor wanting to be able to destroy houses because the ghost citizens house would be a perfect spot for a cloning center.
Sorry, build you city the right way. I don't care if you don't have the time. If you don't, then you really shouldn't have a city should you? Join an existing one.
Xanadu Bay grew by it's strength and persistance. We are a group of 5 small PA's and we worked very hard to grow without any type ofcross server trade. We we actually stuck at pre-shuttleport level for a couple weeks because we didn't have the required citizens, but we were willing to wait and play the game, rather than gaming the play.
/tsk on you.
