Thread: New Mayor Bug? Suggestions please?

I've searched the forum and I'm only seeing that other people have had this bug, but no idea as to how to fix it.


We placed our city hall yesterday. After everyone got declared and we started looking at the terminal, we discovered that our mayor was unable to set taxes, unable to grant zoning rights, and unable to rename our building. Help? When he looks at the structure terminal all he gets is Destroy Structure. We had to lift our zoning restriction so we can build, since he can't grant rights. How have others fixed this?

No idea....


Odd... and he has novice politician obviously... right??


I can't think of anything that would cause this... did turning zoning rights on and off fix this? Or did you try that already?

structure console have no option for renaming building. Only thing you can rename is the town, nothing else on the cityhall.


The tax thing I cant say anything about, but when your mayor tried to give somone rights to place a house, was he inside a building, outside city border or somewhere else that might cause problem? It know to fail when your inside a building, and it do not work outside town.

Idea why you can't tax. You need to be a tier II to be able to tax. If he just placed the city hall, you are a tier I.

I will use a respec and become an entertainer again,
pull out my last pet from my creature handler days
and dance in an empty cantina in Mos Espa and disconnect from the game forever.

Actually if he's getting a destroy structure option, he's looking at the wrong terminal. If you're looking inside the hall from the front doors, the city terminal is in the room to the left that gives you all the options. The one to the right only gives you the destroy structure command.

Well, normaly change name is located on the structure control, but that option do not apply on a cityhall. Not even at the city terminal.


And I belive he found it, if he have tried to change taxes
