Thread: Help out a disgruntled Citizen

I understand that in order to be a citizen you must place a home and declare residence. I have searched the town to see if I have a house there, but find nothing. I have no waypoint on my data pad. I cannt access any house terminals in the city. Yet I am getting charged and I am able to vote.I can account for 9 slots. What is going on?
Go into the city hall and use the city terminal to remove yourself as a citizen.
as for your lost lots... that is a tough one. I suppose you clean out all your waypoint? I bet it is a small naboo (1 lot mushroom style house as I call it) that is place somewhere.. all other small houses are 2 lots and I don't think you can declare in tents (1 lot)
if you don't havea house active... the city lose that citizenship (happen to me all the time when my citizens move around the city or upgrade house)
The ONLY thing I can see it happening is if your house decayed... and well.. hasn't clear your datapad yet..
(old old old bug))
Thanks for the input. I will go to the City terminal and see if I am on the list. If not I'll write a ticket. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
Which tax are you being charged? Income or property tax? If you are being charged income tax, only residents can. Follow the advice given above. But the only way to be a resident is to have a house in that city, if you don't, then you shouldn't be a resident. If you are being charged property tax, you don't have to be a resident to pay property tax. Any structure is subject to property tax including harvestors and generators. If you do not have any structure in that city, I would strongly suggest submitting a CSR ticket.

It was a factory (not in this City). So I can only wonder how my name was placed on this city's roster. The fees were charged me for about 4 weeks. Very strange dealings. Thanks for the help. I will follow up one more time in a week to let you know if I am indeed off this cities books.
Did you ever have a house in that city? There is a "dual-citizenship" bug where if you live in a town, and place a house and move into another town you can actually be on citizenship roster of both cities even after you pull the house in the first town.
Yes, you can declare residence in a Merchant tent, as long as you are the owner of it, like any other house structure, only the owner can declare residence. I do say, and perhaps this is a bit much for SOE to add in the game, but a married couple should be allowed to share / declare residence in same house, as a choice.
Not as much an issue anymore , since most players live in cities.
