Thread: An attempt to get rid of a mayor

My city is not large by any means. Only about 36 citizens. Unfortunately, we are down to about 12 active members of the guild and city. One of the many inactives appears to be our mayor. She has not logged on in several weeks. We wish to get her out of power, but our 12-14 votes from the few active people in the guild and city just are not enough.

Is there any other way we can get her out or do we just have to pick up and start again some where else?

if you know a few others that wouldn't mind relocating for a week or so, you can try bumping up your citizen count and vote your mayor out... unfortunately there's usually not much you can do

Thankyou for the quick response. I guess I will have to get back to the leader of the guild and what not.

Thankyou again.

I know this is prolly something you may not want to hear.....

Maybe since you only have this aprox 12 active members, you should rally together and either:

A: Make another village elseware?

B: talk to some of the other mayors onyour gallaxy and perhaps join thieralready active andestablished city.

Believe me I have seen it to often.....this issue has a way of causeing bad feelings in the long run sometimes whem you try to "fix" somthing that is bad and irreparible(sp)

if worst comes to worst go yourself to another city and have fun with starwars...the path you are going down is liable to be more of a headache then anything.

as someone else said you could try to bring in more citizens to tip the vote but then who would move all there crap and nicely decorated houses and hurt the city they live in now by taking their citizenship elseware?

good luck

There's no real way to get a mayor out other than electing someone else. Do you or anyone in your party have militia (zoning rights)? If not, then it's impossible. How can you add citizens if they can't build houses? If you do, then just start recruiting. I know it's tough to find votes, but there are people who don't live in cities yet. If you offer them a house, perhaps they'll move to your town and up the count enough to get the votes. Also, be active and send emails to everyone on the citizenship list. Add them to your friends list and when they log on, ask them to vote for the new mayor. It's the only way to stay in town and elect a new mayor. Otherwise, pack up and go to a nice town that has active players and a supportive mayor...like mine!

Good luck

That is exactly what I had to do, bug people everytime they logged, except we had a defecit of more than 8 people. Between getting people to realize what was going on, and recruiting new players, I finally got elected...If you happen to have some very powerful merchants in your town, ask them to explain their situation to their buyers. I had several buyers that offered to declare in town for a week so I could catch the vote because they pityed me. Buy yourself some small rounds if you are on naboo, and start handing them out to noobs, telling them to be sure and declare...
