What city or country in this world has NO POWER to protect itself from outside trouble and harrasment???? Why are the devs leaving us defenseless? Player cities are nothing like real cities. Politicians lvl slower than any other profession, hardly any of the city features actually produce money for the city treasuries, we have no way of defending ourselfs ... so why are the devs ignoring player cities. I personally feel it is because they think that we dont matter, we dont count in the greater scheme of things in the game. They just gave us cities to shut someone up. Well you know what, if you devs would look at these forums from time to time, you would see that every politician is complaining about the lack of support you are giving us. Why not pull your heads out of your butts and try and do something constructive for poli for a change rather than continually taking away what little power you give us to begin with. All the ppl who complained about city warn are probably prepubesant nitwits anyway. And who gives a crap if a city kicks you out? it is their city, let them do as they want. if a citizen doesnt like it ... VOTE IN A NEW MAYOR ... hello?

You all have made the player cities so unreal that they dont even feel like a real city for the most part anymore. Give us something to go on. Come on!!! I am having to put approximately 500k of my own money into our city every week because we have 7 houses that we use for city attractions (mall, zoo - 2 buildings - aquarium, weaponry, museum, and city storage so militia can access the houses for new citizens).

Bottom line is i love being a mayor, and the citizens love me, but i hate what the devs have done to the system. And im sure this thread will be deleted in about 3 seconds because the devs hate being flamed, but if you have any sence about you, you will listen to the politicians complaints and take these complaints seriously rather than deleting this thread. It wouldnt take much to fix our problems, and it would be better for you, devs, to fix it rather than to hear us continueally complain about these problems.

JUST FREAKING FIX IT ALREADY!!!

I feal your frustration 100%

We've taken up a poor profession thats a huge time sink for us. Ive built the town from my pocket, contuine to keep it afloat from my pocket and theres no reason for it.

We have 43 citizens in town, 35 are active weekly players, ive yet to meet 5 of the others. The town run at a loss everyweek because i dont want to tax them to hell and back.

Our town still cant grown to freaking size 3, for some lame reason. (why should a flurshing town be allowed to grow after all, its not like people want to live there...)

Our milita is useless.

The reasons for going to player towns are 3 fold.

our city is self sustaining. we do need a way of policing the people within our borders and ALOT more numbers pertaining to the incoming revenue our city has. ie: actual taxes paid in, shuttle amount paid in, garage revenue? We know how much crap is costing to have in the city but no hard numbers to compare for ballancing reasons. Make vendors self delete if a person deletes thier character mostly when the vendor is in another's house. Our mall is full of empty vendors of people that are long gone. We mayors need more special powers so that we can actually run our cities intstead of being just mere caretakers. Give us tools to "nudge" houses even if you can only nudge one or two houses once or twice a week 10m...this would allow us to "tighten up and adjust our cities while not allowing us to grief...this is turning into a wish list sorry. While I feel see your rant is justified, I dont think that it is that bad. We just need a few more tools to do our job better.

"give us a command called /cityboot this will allow us to boot people to the city line for like 24 hours. just have a rule that if the city has a POI within its borders that they do not get the command.

I agree with you, but I've also come to expect that we have to help ourselves a fair bit.

Like most Mayors who run no-tax towns, I too put credits in each week, but so do a lot of other people in the town. Why? Because each week in my city report I ask them too. They see what I do, they know what I sacrifice and they have seen the city grow from a Level 4 in danger of loosing its shuttleport to a nicely settled Metropolis. And they respond with a great community spirit. If this doesn't happen to you - then you don't have a city - you have a collection of houses stuck out on a field somewhere.

Of course there are things I would like to see in player cities, but really, none of the issues facing usare game breaking. None of them really scream out to the Devs "fix this or people will leave" or "fix this or the game will break".To me, none of them are as needed as some of the other issues that are being addressed in the game (such as DE revamps, Jedi revamps, GCW revamps, Combat revamps, etc).

Its a matter of priorities, and at the moment, player cities just arent a priority.

But it will be at some stage, we just have to hang out till then I guess.
