I am just curious if this is what the Devs intended. I operate a large museum on the outskirts of Mjolner, Tatooine. At least I did until two days ago. It seems that some of our city residents have left the game and their property has finally vanished. This had the effect of changing our metropolis to a township and shrinking the city boundaries. I am now outside the city limits. It seems that this may have had a trickle down effect. As I am no longer in the city (and others, as well), the population has shrunk once again, resulting in our shuttleport disappearing.
Now I understand the need to maintain residence so as to not allow the "boomtown/ghosttown exploit", but I have spent many dozens of hours putting together my museum and decorating it accordingly. I am not looking forward to being forced to move it, due to game design shortcomings.
Any suggestions????

do you have an extra lot? prehaps you can help the mayor place a small house inside the city limits, and wait for the border to expand again. otherwise i'm not sure what you can do without moving everything

I was having the same problems, just email your citizens asking a favor. Have them setup a small house and declare residence there. Let them know its temporary to keep the city from shrinking further. It may help if you paid maintenence on the structure as well. Ive had quite a few residents do this already and now the city stabilized. In about a week or so I should be able to remove these houses and place new citizens in their places.
