I just have this one character, and I'm Master Entertainer and almost Master Politician. I know the professions are both limiting, so how many mayors are actually just your Alternate character?
Any other single character politicians out there - and still happy like I am?

As i only have one account, i'm mayor with my first and only character. Even deleted my previous to do so. But now i regret that i have deleted the first one (was a wookiee). But i keep politician to run the city for our guild, but don't see why i should master it. Can use the skillpoints for something else that benefits the guild and citymore.

Single character, and still juggling with my skill points, between politician, merchant, artisan and now pistoleer (I miss some good old action).

MRM, Slicer, and I'm eventually going to master politiking but being able to heal myself is just too attractive right now to go the extra few yards. Only account so my only character, he used to be the guild leader as well so I also have 9 of my lots used up. Heh, I'm about as restricted as you can be in the game

depends on what you define as an alt I have three characters on Tarquinas Starfall, my first character ME, MM, MT; Slipstream, my second character Master Scout, Master Marksman, CH 3/3/3/3, BH 0/1/3/4; and Solairus Master Architect, Armorsmith 3/1/1/4, Politician 4/3/2/4. Don't consider any of them lessor or secondary since they all have impartant roles in our city.

I'm referring to people who actually run 2 or more separate accounts on the same server - and using one as a mayor.

Single account here. Just master politician and will be surrendering the skillpoint to master carbineer (but keeping novice politician).

Using my primary character as mayor, and it definitely hurts. Everytime I need to do something mayoral I have to shuffle skills around to accomodate it, which wouldn't be a burden if it weren't for the fact that all the mayoral skills are pretty much one-shot deals. If there were skills in the politician tree that were used regularly and often there would be a point in keeping them :/

My alt was created to be the mayor. But then i had extra skill points so i made him a chef to open a cantina. Seemed fiting for the role playing.

First off, being a Wookiee politician is probably a bad idea since you're the only species noobs can't understand. But also, I don't think Ranger/TKM/Politician would leave me any room to be useful either way.
My little Rodian has the skill points to be a master Architect, Merchant 4443, Politician 2424 and master Artisan, so it works out great. I can make almost anything a citizen would need, in terms of civic buildings and starting gear, and my buddy is a weaponsmith who gives each citizen one free weapon. We both give discounts to residents, too, as do many of our crafters.

From the mayor survey done around xmas...
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=20520&page=1
...it came out like this:
41 responded that their politician was their main or only character. (85%)
7 responded that their politician was an alternate on a second account.

Oddly, I have two characters and the politician is my main! I'm a politician/artisan/arch with some merchant. I use my alt for combat/PvE. I do know many that mayors that are alts though.
Cheers,
