How about having a vendor that can be setup by the Mayor and all proceeds go to the city maintenance fund? It might be easier to get items donated by the citizens instead of credits. The value to the city could be immense.

Why not simply have a special city bazaar for each city? Meaning you could buy/sell things on the bazaar in a player city, but only in that player city. It would be a seperate system from the current galactic bazaar. City citizens and anyone who wandered in could place items on the city bazaar for sale or for auction while in the city, and people could buy or bid on these items while in the city. The mayor could set a tax so a certain percentage of the sale would go to the city maintaince.

While I think the city bazaar would be something to think about I do believe it would need some work as to how it functions, what can and can't be done, etc.
I personally think there should be a very low limit to how many items you can place on it. We don't want it to be a replacement for vendors etc.
But it is something to consider. I think it should add in a new structure like the bank as well as have a combination structure that has both the bank and bazaar in it
(costs of each would be different of course)
