Hiya. I JUST started a new character. He is a mon Calamari Artisan. I did this so I figured that if/when I start a city, and I had my own vendor, I'd have a steady income to support my city. My question to you all is: What exactly is a politician and HOW do i become one ASAP? I love the idea of being a leader of a player city. When your a politician, are there certain offices, Can you go to war with other cities? etc. Any answers will help. But I'm totally lost here.

Not a dumb question I think. You need 500 AP to become a Novice Politician. And just in my opinion, I think not many will join a noob's city, so you may want to wait farther into it. The city hall / guild hall prices are too steep for a noob anyhow. Errr, you can make your own office, and cities can't go at war, but guilds can.

Yep.. You need 500 Aprentice points before you can train novice politician and you will need 10 players to join the new city ONCE you place your town hall within 24 hours... Then you will have to deal with "Why don't we live on ..... or live near..... grin!

When I originally wanted to become a Mayor (way back when
), I tried making my own city. Getting the first 10 people is soooooo hard without bribing with like 200k+, its hardly worth it. I bought every piece of architecture a town needed....24 hours later I had lost a city hall.
Its better to join a friendly guild, get to know the people, and then eventually see if you can run for mayor. It might take 3 weeks, but its worth it, trust me
.

Okay so I have a little cummunity where most of my guild lives.. Its a small guild with like a dozen or so of us. What I want to know is if I get the minimum 10 but there are other people that live nearby do they have to join the city for the city to start... I like where I live but there are two houses near ours of people who never play... I dont want to have to go find some place with nobody around and move everything.
