Thread: Shuttleport Problem

The only thing I can think of is:

Try destroying the port just for a server restart. This will not destroy it (it is a bug) but will make the shuttleport bugged. People will be able to shuttle in, but not out anymore.

The vendor and the tickercollector will also dissapear.

After the server restarts shuttleports that have been bugged by trying to redeed them start functioning again. Maybe this will work for you as well.

Just to add...in most cases, trying to re-deed a bugged shuttleport will only end up removing the droid and terminals (the frame will remain). It will stay that way until the next server reset. You can shuttle in, but not out (maybe it's possible, but everyone I've seen has had to drive their way back to the nearest starport). This happened to Hammerhead and now I can't move the shuttle (luckily it wasmore or lessin the spot I wanted)

Thanks for the suggestions

I just let it go through maintenance and the problem cleared up luckily.

Still would be good to know what caused it, but I'll settle for it never happening again

IF it happens again, try using the ticket itself instead of the droid.

We are having a problem with our shuttleport, where the ticket collector is saying the shuttle is about to begin boarding, but no matter how long you wait, no shuttle ever arrives.

Has anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?

I have a ticket in of course, and have advised everyone in our town and guild to also put one in, but would like to get this fixed sooner, rather than having to wait a week or so for a CSR response.

The city is a metropolis (Rank 5) and has over 100 citizens, so the malfunction should not be caused by size issues. I had not touched the shuttleport prior to the problem occurring, have never tried to redeed it or anything.

If you can help, please post here, and thanks in advance

Isent in a ticket for this a week or so ago, and the reply I got back was "this is a known issue and we are working hard to resolve it". The csr also told me they couldn't do anything about it right now.

The problem is just an animation problem and not an inherent system problem. It happens in Bestine too, on Starsider. And in many player cities.

When you see the message "..is about to begin boarding" simply wait a few seconds, then double-click your ticket in your inventory. Keep trying til you leave. This works 100% of the time I've seen this problem happen.
