Thread: How do YOU split up trainers?

Just wondering on how some of you rotate your trainers among your citizens. We're just a size 3 city so we get 9 trainers. Then I have about 20 people that constantly want their own trainer. Anyone have ideas on fair ways to rotate or split the trainers?

I don't. We have 140 citizens and I have fixed trainers for the key Elite professions - people needing basic trainers can easily get it from someone in our guild or another citizen!

If you get into the business of swapping them all the time, it will become a full time job for you

I have a website of the current trainer in the game. Since we have 86 citizens. I usually need at least 3 players requesting them before I switch them out (unless other trainers are no longer need)

normally I hardly put down basic trainers unless someone ask for them.

I created a 3 city Unified Training district. Withing 2200m of any town center, you can get all your training needs.

Has worked out wonderfully.

I delegated the whole 'dealing with trainers' to someone else that cares about them. This works great. I just get told when to change them, if someone has a problem with the changeover or what the current trainers are I just tell them to talk to my "Minister for Employment, Education and Training" What'd be really nice is if I could actually give him the power to change trainers as well. Save me having to even think about them at all.

Once I was designated as Mayor to be, I had my guild do a survey of every city on Dantooine with a shuttleport, then pulled the duplicate trainers to either make room for unique trainers or save the slots to cut overhead.

If someone REALLY wants a special trainer, I give them the option to sponsor one for a period of time in a direct treasury deposit. Its gone pretty well so far in a city pop 82.

Because we have so many new players visit our city, I have all the basic trainers in town, so that it is easy to find training for a novice skill. After that I place the most common profession being trained in town (Doctor, combat medic, rifleman, TKA, smuggler) that leaves a couple of 'rotating' trainers that I can drop if we need a specific trainer.

Everyone in town knows they can send me a tell asking for a temporary trainer to be placed if they need it, with the understanding that if I am not in town, I am not going to make a special trip to place a trainer for them. All I ask is that they donate the cost of placing the trainer to the city treasury.

This has worked well as only a few people ask for special trainers (usually holo professions like pikeman, ranger etc that are not very common.) Generally there is always a player around that can train advanced skills so the need for specialized trainers isn't that great.
