Thank you for both replies.

Don't you sleep?

Wait a sec.. just tried that. A theater takes up roughly 2 1/2 times the space a naboo medium does.

Broken down a theater is 6 x 5 (or 30 'spots'), and a medium house is 3 x 4 (or 12 'spots'). If that's true, then my city is... um.. screwed.... I'll have to tear them all down and switch to small houses to fit into the city radius. Fat chance of the citizens going for that idea.

As reference, a small house is 10 'spots' and a large is 42. So 10, 30, 42. Logically it should have been changed from 3 x 4to 5 x 4, making it 10, 20, 42.Think there is even a chance of city radii being changed or medium footprints being shrunk down in a hotfix or publish?

Sometimes

The new footprint for the Naboo medium is 5x6. Basically what happened when they changed it is that all existing houses were converted to the new footprint, but were allowed to overlap since they were already in place. Once they are picked up, though, the overlap is no longer allowed. If you have an existing row of three Naboo mediums placed up against each other and pull the middle one out, the two on either side will expand into the hole left by the one that was removed (leaving only a 1 square break between the two).

Since it is late...did that make any sense?

Aye, it did. But it still puts a major cramp on any new cities that have to worry about fitting 20 citizens in a 150m radius or 35 in a 200m radius, aguild hall so they can talk toeach other, and leave room for access/buildings in the city heart later on.(not counting bank, garage, gardens, etc) I know most of you aren't concerned about this because your cities are already existing - but think about it from a new city's point of view. The option of 'renovating downtown' six months from now is almost a pipedream because players quit, move on to other games, go inactive, will switch to star trek online beta in spring, etc.

As a reference, here's the new breakdown for small, mediums and larges by planet.

Generic/Corellian - 3x4, 3x4, 5x7 (12, 12, 35)

Tatooine - 3x4, 5x5, 5x7 (12, 25, 35)

Naboo - 3x4, 5x6, 6x7 (12, 30, 42)

I haven't seen any other threads concerning this so I have to assume that i'm the only one irritated by this.

I've spoke my piece, I'll hush up now.

WIth the new naboo house footprints, maybe even bases, statues, etc?

It just dawned on me that my city plans can't be trusted, as the footprints have been changed and the planner doesn't reflect it.

You can substitue a Theater for the new Naboo medium footprint. Not much to do with bases, though.
