Thread: How do I Defend my City.
I will admit that I dont Barause these boards as much as most. Our wonderful city has run pretty smoothly and we've taken most things in stride. But now I am faced with a delemia and I really dont know what to do.
I have 137 people in my town. Obviously I cant please them all. I have accepted that...infact I accepted that the day I took office. We've grown extreamly fast and we have a city that is quite a wonder to behold. We spent month planing it and many long hours building it. As you can probably tell I am pretty proud of our city. But I as mayor am fealing like more of a facality now than as the leader of our great city. Thalnax, our city, in all it's wonder and I only3 boxes from master Politician, have no way to remove unwanted residants...or visitors for that matter. People come in every day and shout obscenaties, try and trick us into placing shops and venders so they can just grief and slander us. I have to report someone or put in a ticket for abuse EVERY DAY...I try and be fair. If someone wants to set up shop, I generaly let them. If someone wants to be a resident...I try my best to get them a nice spot. But sometimes people arent as nice as I am.
Now I'm not asking for sympathy, charity, or your flames. I am simply writing this...probably more to get this off my chest than anything else, but maybe someone who can make some decissions at SoE or maybe even someone who can offer a way for me to defend this town we've worked hard to build can speak up.
I know I'm not the only town in the galaxy that needs help.

As it stands now there is nothing we can do....We have been complaining about this for some time now. Unforetunately for you, it sounds like you created a city that SOE had hoped for. A city where people from all over could join and not just bea PA city.
The city Im in we took the invite only approach so we didnt have to deal with the stuff that you are now going through. We really didnt want to do it that way but when we took a hard look at what could potentially happen and once we saw that the /citywarn was going away, well our decision was easy. The last thing that any of us wanted to do was tobaby-sit our city because of a few people out there trying to get their kicks ruining otherfolks fun and enjoyment.
Bottom line, we need our militia back!!!
Personally, I am expecting SOE to put the /citywarn command back in... and find a better solution to the griefing caused by the command.
And yes, I think a /condemnstructure command is needed as well. Something that will automatically destroy a structure unless it is redeeded in 7 days. Seriously, people do quit this game and leave structures around the place.

/condemnstructure should be 8 days. THat way if you are /condemn structured by a griefing Mayor, you have time ot organize a vote for a new Maypr!
I think it's all pipe dreams. I had a CSR come out for a particular incodent that I'm not going to get into and they tols me ti live with it...
Really. You work hard to get somthing nice and then it gets screwed up by someone else. And there's nothing that can be done. Quite sad. Well Good luck to all of you. And I hope you never have to go through what I am. Maybe They'll fix our cities before that happens.
First I would like to say that I think you guys did a great job with the city and its probably the nicest city on Naboo. Its also very scary place if your a Rebel because there are bases and turrents everywhere and of coursejust about all the citizensrunning around overt with AT-STs following them around. Now the truth is there isn't much for us to do right now, orginally with /citywarn cities had a way to control themselves but now the cities have become nothing but a money trap for us. I believe it will get better and after seeing what we are going to present to the Devs for us will make it a lot easier for us to run cities. But for now I know how you feel, nothing we can do but just take the worst and hope that the better times are yet to come.
