Ok, my city on Naboo went through its update cycle this weekend.

We were already a Size-4 (City) and had enough citizens to go to size-5 (Metropolis).

I received a message saying we couldnt grow because of the cap !!!

I quickly visited every other city on the planet and checked their sizes... 8 Cities, 2 Metros

I placed a CSR ticket explaining the situation, and the reply i got was "Sorry, capped at 10 size-4 or higher"

Am I the only one that can figure out that 8+2 =7+3

The city was in the first 10, and is already inside the cap. so why cant it grow?

Not the first time ive had a responce from a CSR who apparently didnt read the ticket at all, and also doesn't understand the game (the last one told me a novice could only have 1 crafting tool !!!)

Your city can't grow because when it checks to see if it's inside the cap, it doesn't take into account you are already one of the allowed cities and thinks you are a new city trying to reach level 5. This is most certainly a bug or glitch in the game. How the DEVs and CSRs handle it is another story.

I talked to 3 CSRs about our city. From all three I got a similar vibe - CSRs are not allowed to interfere with Player Cities. There is one exception - they can intervene if the city is faced with destruction due to some events beyond players' control. And, of course, they can remove "abusive" mayor from office.

Mokael is right. CSRs can not interfere with player cities all that much. They can help with minor bugs like street lamps missing or other decorations, not getting exp from an election or taking out destructive mayors.

This is a known bug, but you shouldn't worry really. It is not a big deal if you don't get to metropolis right now. There are 10 cities level 4 or up cities on your planet so you are safe. You will get metropolis as soon as they fix the bug. Anyway all metropolis does is give you a higher maitenance and no benefits (except for increased range in city). Just be patient

You are right, it doesnt matter much.... at the moment.

However, the same CSR also told me that there are only 4 Metro's allowed per planet (I didnt mention it befor because i dont think he realy knows anything for sure).

If there realy is a Metro limit that they havnt bothered to tell us about, then it is vitally important to update as soon as possible. If they fix a bug so that the growth can happen, and then 2 other cities are updated befor my city's next cycle, we lose any chance of increasing.

While there may only be a radius benefit to being size-5 now (although the extra trainers etc would be nice), who knows what other features will be added later that will only be available to a Metropolis.

Plus.. its a status thing you know

I don't think there is a cap on level 5 cities. I might be wrong, but I have never seen one because all it says is cap of 10 on level 4 and up. If there is a cap, I would think it would be 5 and not 4 anyway.

I understand the whole status thing, and it is a nice boost to a city if you are a metropolis. Extra trainers are nice as well. Well good luck on getting it fixed. The devs are working on it, so it shouldn't be too long.

No it isn't a cap, it is the same as having your inventory completely full then trying to switch guns. It won't let you because you can't drop something into the inv (full/at the cap) even though you are taking another thing out to keep the balance. I'm just surprised that a CSR can't just come to the town check all the requirements and then manually crank you up the notch. But then that would actuallybe helpful.
