In general and specific to player cities:
I think they should have a medical rating HIGHER than a droid. A droid is supposed to be about portability and ease of use, and not having to run to a medical center. A medical center is supposed to be about professionalism and where "true" medicine is done (not field work, where you would use a droid).
So...if droids can't be retroactively put down to 100, then raise medical centers up to 120 or 130. Make them have a use other than a cool building that appears on the map. Make it so docs are clamoring to get inside to buff their patients or do wound healing, rather than just whipping out a droid somewhere in the middle of the street and having the benefit of a full hospital.
Perhaps then these buildings in towns would have much bigger following than they do now.

I 100% agree with this... the med center in my city never gets used, everyone has their driod with them

my last med center was removed 3 weeks ago... someone finally asked me about it yesterday.
we have 65 citizens, I see at least 50 of them in the city on a regular basis, at least 2 or 3 times per week.
just a little hindsight on the "importance" of this building

hehe..we have one for "estitic?" look... I buff people via my droid and heal wounds in cantinas.... I think our cantina get more traffic than anything else.

This is something that Architects should get to experiment on during the creation of the med center. There are 3 or 4 in my city. I use one myself as a BE lab. It has a nice small foot print yet holds nearly as much as a large house for only 3 lots. They are nice as a personal space. Other than the slow heal rates inside, they are no more useful than say a house or cantina.
