Anybody know how many citizens you need to start a town? I have a close handfull of friends who want to help me start a town but including me that's only 9? Can I be voted in as a mayor of such a small town?

When you place city hall, you're automatically the mayor.

If you get 9 more people (for a total of 10 including yourself) within 24 hours, your city won't be destroyed. Less than 10, kaboom.

and yes you can kiss your city hall goodbye, so if you do have a total of 10, don't place until they are all available. Those 24 hours run out quick
