I do apologize if this is in the wrong area, but I wonder if there is some list somewhere that is kept showing what cities might be up for sale and on what server?

cities do not belong to the politician and therefore should not be available for sale.

Heh. With the difficulty of getting a new mayor into office that people want, I don't see many people getting into office after buying a city.
Cities shouldn't be sold anyway, like Pappo said they don't belong to the mayor but to the citizens.

Maybe he's lost and wants to buy a City Hall deed, after visiting the Politician Trainer on one of the three primary planets? I'm sure he's not trying to buy a city! Why I would only sell mine for real US currency!
Just kidding... seriously Mayors love what they do , they have too! It'sa nearly thankless task that costs so many hours of your life.

Can't argue with that, heh.

Right, I understand that the Politican doesn't "own" the city, but I have heard of at least one city that was sold to a group of folks so they could have a city to call home to from someone who was leaving the game. Not looking to do any hostile take overs either
Guess I will just keep looking round andwait until the character purge in Octoberhoping I get lucky and the planetary limit is not capped.

Why don't you move into an existing city and run for office legitimately?

or move to an existing city while waiting for the purge. Might be in a better political power position to run for mayor as an established guild/resident than as an outsider, and it'd already have the rank you're looking for so you wouldn't need to worry about so much.

In the early days, some people would use multiple alts and friends to slap a City Hall down on a prime spot and try and market the place for 1-5 million or so on Kettemoor.
I have not seen one like that in over8 months. Established cities would be truly impossible to sell.
