Title says it all. Is there a way of for the mayor to send a citywide email without placing all the citizens in a group on my friend's list?

sticky thread -> FAQ:
Q: Can I e-mail all the citizens of my city?
A: The Mayor has the ability to mass-mail citizens by addressing an e-mail to "citizens" (without the quotation marks). Only the Mayor has this ability.

Yes this is not working. I was only just elected, will I need to wait for a server reset or something until this command will take effect?

probably, sometimes server resets help too. if that still doesn't work, you can try contacting a CSR

^^ Read my notes on the issue it happend to me aswell and although the CSR's tried to help they were useless.
The problem occurs more often than we would like to admit.
Good Luck to you.

Speaking of the 'citizens' mail feature, is anyone else having issues with mail going out to some people who are no longer citizens? I have no way of accurately verifying, but the last few I've sent, I've gotten back mail from 3 different players, some in colorful language, askingme to stop sending mail to them as they no longer live in my city.

tell them to revoke their citizenship in your city terminal, they're probably struck by the dual citizenship bug.

Luckily my remaining dual citizens don't mind deleting email. If they revoked citizenship we'd lose our shuttle.
Is this bug going to be fixed? Hope not...

I've had no problem using "citizens", and I think the in game email/tell system actually doesn't check for caps.
it seems to be a new-mayor-specific bug, I'll look into it some time.

If you havent allready, try adjusting the taxes in your town. Not saying that will fix it but when i was happening to me, i adjusted taxes (unrelated) and next time i tried to send citymail it worked.
