I do have a second account ... but the non-mayor one is my alt. I got it mostly because of the restricted amount of lots I have as owner of cantina and theater of the city + information tent - but I play with my mayor character (playing mayor) about 90% of my playing time. My alt is very slowly climing up Rifleman ... but in about 1 year I am still only to rifleman 1-1-1-1 (so you see how often I play that alt).
But I have to add that I also have the alt to go hunting with friends every now and then, since my mayor char cant't do anything in that direction being a master merchant soley to provide the information tent and to put up vendors throughout the city that act as NPCs - giving information or providing player created quests.

My main char is the Mayor. My alts are for those times I can sneak away from city duties and go kill stuff or make stuff or hang out in a cantina.
But really, I have the most fun playing The Mayor. We have a tight-knit community and most of us spend quite a bit of time in town doing things together. Even if it's just sitting in the town square chatting and watchingthe Docdo an impromptu fireworks show.
My Mayor char has no combat skills and rarely ever left town anyway, so when our last Mayor wished to retire it was a no-brainer for me to volunteer to do this service for our city and guild. I had to give up Master ID to free up the skill points for it, but I didn't mind.
I am a lot busier as a Mayor than I ever was as an ID.
Although, I understand why so many use mayor alts. The skill points spent on politician don't contribute anything to much else one does in game, and are pretty darn sparse for doing anything "politician" too. Once a city is all set up, it's far more efficient to surrender most politician skills and respend them on something more useful. Mayor is a "utility char" to most people and not even as useful to them as a buffbot stashed in the city cantina or a "lot mule."
That's sad.

My Primary is the Mayor and I have long regretted it <lol>The PA Leader at the time DEMANDED that the Mayor be a member of the Command Council (Yet refused to dedicate his skill points to the task) and since my alt was a Master Architect and I was footing the bill I ended up with the job (My original intent was to have the Master Architect take the task)
Since then my combat profile was always gimped but I slogged through it. I'm hoping that a) Politicians will one day get an ACTIVE role and b) the CURB will let me be competative even without a fully dedicated combat profile.

That must be the #1 reason I left SWG:
"Whoever has the most accounts wins"
The #2 was the cross-server swapping of lots (houses, static harvester, factories....)
The game reeks of ways multiple account holders greatly benefit over the single account holders.
I played for a year as a Master Architect/Mayor with a single account and a single character. Imade over 50mill and ran a city. I gave away free houses, speeders and credits and put millions into our city. All that, with one account. Can you imagine what those are doing with multiple accounts ?
A full time character on one account is contrained to those limitations. The more accounts one has, the more they benefit. *merchant alts, Mayor alts, extra lots etc...etc...the list goes on....lol
That's really to us full time characters, full time Mayors, full time Architects..... and those other who have to balance the professions with a single character. But hey, SOE don't mind taking your money for those multiple accounts.
It's the multiple account holders that ruin the game and give leverage tothem. How many copies of a game do you need to play it......? HAHAHA

My primary is the Mayor/Master ARchitect.
I have two subsidiary accounts (Ranger and Musician) that I mess with when I am bored with Mayor.

My main is the Mayor/Guild Leader. He's also working towards MMerchant. So I may have to invest in an alt to work the weaponsmithing/scouting/TKAzzkicking into it.

Only have one account so nope. He also holds my PA's hall so that anda merchant tent for a friend takes up all my lots. 2 free for now to help move things around but soon they'll be filled up with my yacht and master ship since I really want to finally get to use those things.

Im not an alt, nor do i have an Alt.
But, that is also why i will be stepping down from public office this week.
If im gonna be doing the CSR's and GM's work by attracting ppl to cities, giving them content & direction i expect some pay or at the very least to not have to be burdeoned by skill points.

I have 2 accounts, but my main char just became novice politician
I'm having fun with it. I know nothing about it, and it's fun feeling "new" at something again!
