Thread: Question on City Halls

I've heard this question asked numerous times on TC forums, but i haven't seen an answer..

..how large are the foot prints of city halls? are they the same for all types (planet that is, like is a tat hall smaller than a corellian, etc?) I got a nice spot all mapped out for the city hall in Armont, but have no idea if it will fit or not (also calculated exactly the radius/diameter from there so...just need the placement )

I just posted this on the TC forum an hour ago or so...

At last they fixed the forum =) so, I have one question Plinka, that I know many people are wondering about. Are there any cap on politician XP? I know this might be hard to test out as an experienced Politician, but from what I've heard, there are normal rules to Xp cap (double your highest level requirement). For most people this will only be an issue for the first vote. They will feel they 'lose' some Xp because of the cap.

I have an idea for the devs how to fix this if they want to.

1. Whenever some votes for the first time or changes their vote, the politician that which was voted for gets an amount of XP.
2. If you have voted once in a week you're not allowed to change your vote that week.
3. Any 'left-over' votes (votes from people that hasn't changed their vote during this weeks election) will give XP at the end of the week.

I've also got some information for anyone who wants to start a city on tatooine. These are triple-checked measurements of most Tatooine 'houses'. The values are presented broad x length, where broad is the side the door is on.

Small house 3x4
Ciy hall 7x9
Pa hall 9x5
Large house 7x5
MediumHouse5x5
Bank 3x3
Shuttleport 5X7
Cloning Facility5x5
Medical Center5x5
Cantina 7x7

A square is 8x8m. This means from the center of the city there's an 18 square radius for the starter city. The city center is placed at the following point.

XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXX X
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX

Imagine this as a City Hall pointing down. The open spot is where the center of the city will be. Hope this will be abit of useful information for all you guys out there planning out their city.

Yes, it's true that the city isn't centered exactly on the hall--however, the position of the city center isn't always in the same place, I'm afraid. The location of the city according to the city terminal (not the waypoint from the world map) seems to always be right around the center of the building, however, within 8 meters or so.

The chart you see on my post is checked on both QAVille and LeetVille. These are tatooine cities ofc, might be different for other cities

My guild has found maybe the most perfect place there is on Tatooine to build our city. I will not reveal where it is, in fear of some enemies coming and harassing us before the city is up, but every time I bring a member of the guild out there they go 'WOW!!'

Hunt_Master: That's the location I saw when I chose to view the waypoint from the world map on Leetville and QAville. But later I visited cities that did not have planetary map registration, and noticed that they had a different location in the structure for the "city location" when I queried the city management terminal. After that I went back and checked QAville and Leetville, and noticed that what the city management terminal reports is not the same as what's registered on the world map.

Your guess is as good as mine as to which of those locations is the center for build radius purposes.
