Been reading this and the TC forums alot regarding PC's. Very anxious to work with them, and want to thank those currently doing the hardest work of all for us players. Thanks TC folks, and specially Plinka.

Now the idea:

Players should be taxed according to the type of house they own within the city. Now i know some will say because of scaled maintenance it is already, but I would personally prefer to be able to set a price of tax based upon house type (small medium large)

The reason I say this is that I dont want to overtax anyone, but I do feel that those with large houses are typically your wealthiest residents. They would have more to tax.

Not many economies I can think of tax residents on a flat scale, so why would we have one if we are trying to recreate the feeling of politics and cities...

Nah, it's basically covered in the house maintenence. If you can afford a house that charges 1000 credits a day you can afford the higher tax. Property tax is based on how big your house/structure mainenence is so running it by lots would involve a lot of new code that isn't needed as the size/cost already effects how much you pay in tax.

So what you are saying is that player A pays 5,000 credits maintenance and Player B pays 1,000 credits maintenance and the tax is 10%.

Player A pay 500 credits Player B pays 100 credits and that is not fair? How can that not be fair, Player A is paying more. He is paying a lot more.

with the avg people I game with, there is great desparity between the haves and have nots.

With missions getting nerfed, and other money venues becoming harder to obtain, you will eventually start seeing players who can abrely afford a small.

Yes, I wish i could scale the taxes, perhaps based upon bank accounts. But flat taxes kinda suck. Hey, It would allow me more to do as a mayor hehe, balancing budgets
