Thread: Content for the People.. or for a few of the people?

I'm worried that all this developer time and content is only going to be experienced by a small share of the players. I'd hoped that player cities would be 'the' cities but now due to financial concerns I'm doubtful.

I've got a small Rori guild (no, I don't want a small city just for us). While personally I'm financially successful, but most of my guild are casual players who are have small bank accounts (10-50k).We generallyplay afew nights a week and weekends. We tinker about and fish, watching our pennies when we can. Basically just happy to be here.Mosthaven't leveled up to master(just now acquiring the early tiers in an advanced professions).

These early figures I'm seeing of 10k+ a week for each indiviual are really disheartening. Cities of 100 with maxed-out taxes barely breaking even. We'd all been excited about joining a city, seeing new people and developing a community. I just can't see how we can do this without changing our entire play style to focus on credit generation. I was hoping for some sort of middle ground.

Please tell me that I'm not alone in these thoughts. What's the use of credits if you spend all your time earning them and never enjoying them (probably away from your city)? I don't know how to break it to my guildmates, many being close friends, that all these hopes and teases of cities willlikely be beyond reach.

if you have not the time and if you not want to earn credits, your possibility is to join another city and you have only to pay the taxes

my guild, and 3 others created together a city on naboo, at the moment we are maybe 30 citizens, we can pay the city hall, but when I see that QAVille pays 1 Million, I can't see how we can pay this. Our only possibilty is, that more pepole join us.

What I want to say is, that you can pay this taxes, if you have many citizens.

The Abyssal Wardens are always looking for a few more people to join them on Lok.

This is the concern that I have been harping on in several threads. My guild has millionaires, it has paupers. I am disturbed that the city rules are driving both ends of the spectrum away from wanting a city. You should know my guild was founded entirely by people wanting to be in a city.

If the devs made content for everyone, we wouldn't have Jedi. There are two kinds of content:

-Easy access content. The one the powergamers access in one day and yell there's nothing to do in the game. Problem is, these said powergamers are usually the loudest forum complainers.

-Hard to access content.

Keeps the powergamer happy because he's got content that takes him some time to get to, and gives him bragging rights for his /play.

The game needs both. But you have to understand that by definition, roles of power can't be achieved by everyone. If every city is a mtropolis, it isn't a metropolis, it's basic_town_01.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.
