Thread: Feature Request: Player City Welcome Letter

It is a good idea, however what is the same person enters the city again? Will they receive the message again? probably. I believe it be too hard to program that and if it is possibly be too much of a nuisance. I think the welcome letters when you place a house and become a citizen is enough, in my opinion at least.

I'd rather mayors be able to type out a little welcome message for whenever people enter my town. That way I could say something like, "Contact Viglo for info on setting up a residence."

I think it would be nice if we were able to customize the default letter that goes to new citizens. Cities can be very different from one another.

A one-time welcome letter sent to anyone who enters the city.


Composed by the mayor


Could list town laws and policy, vendor locations, recruitment policy, faction affiliation, nearby points of interest, date and time of upcoming events, anything you would want to say to someone new entering your city.


(I know bugs need to be worked out first, but this along with city chat would be my most desired feature requests).
