How does a mayor resign? Can he simple drop the politician profession and it goes to the next highest person in the race? Or is there another way?

Does anyone know how this happens? Our current mayor wants his skill points back soon.

This is why the whole "politician" profession was a lousy idea. People who really want to run a city can't because of skill point requirements.

the profession isnt a bad idea. Its soe and how they turn anything good into stuff my dog wouldnt eat(and he eats dirt)

This thread was intended to ask about the proceedure to resign, what are the game mechanics. I understand you disconnent, but for the moment we need to discover how to do it.

I am going to start a new thread on the general forum on this. I am currently a mayor of a city. I have been trying to resign for the past 2 weeks without destroying the city. I have deleted all my politican skills, 3 other citizens are currently running for mayor, yet I am still the mayor. If after this next voting period, I am still in, I wont have a choice but to destroy the city. Half of the residents are casual players and havent logged in a long time to change their votes.

You have to lose an election to an opponent... that's the only way.
