Awww Griggs! We're quite honored to have you in our city.
Afterall as one of my citizens stated "OMG, we have a forum celeb living in our city"
But it has been truely great meeting many of your guild mates and getting to know a few of them as well. I look forward to working with you and your guild for a long time to come.

Well, like many of you I have founded and run player cities. My first city at launch of player cities grew to a rank 5 metropolis on Talus. We had 125 or so residents.
As time went on we grew tired of the boring generic/corellian houses and the lack of challenging hunting there. We relocated to Dantooine, and again grew our city to a rank 5 metropolis. Problem was, the lag on Dantooine at the time we were there was UNBEARABLE hehe. I am talking 45-50 second delays in spatial actions etc.
We decided to move back to where we started before player cities - outside of Moenia, Naboo. Lucky for us someone else wanted to pull their city so we were able to drop a city hall on a primary planet that was capped. We got stuck at rank 3, but we still managed to squeeze 90+ into the rank 3 radius
Well, I have run 3 major player cities, and recently majority of my guild decided to go imperial and join up with a pre-existing, established player city.
This was new for us. We always tried to run our own, guild-only city. Now that I joined my guild into an established city I can say it was the best thing we ever did. The player city is lively, always people around, everyone is having fun, and there is a sense of community.
I guess the moral of this story is that if you are looking to try something new, throw your ego out the door and work with other guilds on your city. It is a great experience. My guild is very happy in our new home

I'm not a reb, and of course I haven't contacted a CSR... there are no CSRs on TC
I know I have enough money in the treasury, although when they first started up TC for the JTL folks I went thru 4 elections and 3 maintainance cycles in the few days that it was down
now it seems that some stuff poofed due to whatever reason on TC, including New Unity. oh well, they're rolling the server back... I'm not motivated enough to bug a dev about it when it's just gonna be overwritten again when JTL is done.

To the origonal poster:
I run a city with multipul guilds, one of the unique challenges we have is keeping all of the guilds happy. One is a more of a crafter guild while others are more PVP orientated. Obtaining a balence in what your city favors can be a task at times. A good thing is you can pass things off to the guild leaders.
to Pappi:
did the vanishing happen before or after the "rollback data" Becaue i heard that they will be rolling back TC 1 month after JTL is realased (7 more days!!!!!)

of course it's after all the beta stuff... I wouldn't be silly enough to let it poof before
that's another reason why I ain't bothering, it's gonna roll back anyway.

this is for the original thread post.
I run a town on the Chilastra server on Dantooine. I have 5 guilds that populate my town. It was a challenge to get the town set up, but now we are quite happy and are a metropolis. It does get very challenging trying to keep everyone happy, but everything seems to work out in the end. Only trusted members of the guilds in town are in the town militia and have not violated any rules i have set down. I myself used to run a town on Rori a long time ago. It was fun and had only 2 guilds in it. This new town is great and I am glad that myself and my guild stepped in to help save it. (the original mayor up and took all the money, quit the game i believe, and deleted city hall). But yes, having more than one guild in town may be a lil stressful sometimes, but in the end it is pretty damn cool.
