Ok I am a 4-4-2-3 Politician, a Master Armorsmith, a 0-0-0-2 merchant and a rifleman. I am of course out of Skill points. Ilooking forsome SP to master rifleman.
Now I have trained up in Politician to place the faction terminals and to get research facility and to place gardens trainers and terminals. Now That I have placed these items,if I drop the skill does the city lose that item? Thanks

you wont lose them.
but...
you wont be able to change them or move them either -- until you re train.

I'm in a similar situation as Ivcaveman - our city on Chimaera was built in February 2004.Since then, I've kept the 4444 skills just in case I wanted / needed to change anything in the city but the reality is that I've only ever had to move terminals a couple of times, change the skill trainers when citizens need something new and put up new houses. We have a fixed number of people inthe militia, we have all the city structurespossible (except Theatre) and we're never going to change the city specialisation from research centre.I've also maxed out on Politician XP - so I'm wondering what point is there in keeping these skill points?
I'm thinking of droppingas many skill points in politician as I can until such time asmore content is introduced to the politician profession- with the above in mind, I was thinking 0020 would cover my needs. Are there any other pitfalls to dropping skill points whilst remaining an "active" mayor (other than the one stated above)??????
Any thoughts anyone? Any pointers would be greatly received - I guess I'm a little nervous of dropping the points as it took so long to get enough XP to master the profession in the first place that I don't want to go back to that situation of waiting each week to get a little closer to the next skill box. We all remember that right?! At the same time though, the profession has been a little disappointing (to say the least) and is little more than a skill point black hole once you have your city built out. Shame. It could have been such a great profession and I still hang on to it with the hope it will happen one day.
