Ok. I posted on this earlier, and there has been a change in my situation. My guild's leader and town's mayor (same player) just left the game. I am taking the place of both positions. I WAS faced with having to beat her out in elections and guild allegiance, which was tough becuase not enough citizens/guild members are coming on weekly. A solution has presented itself. The player gave me access to her account. I removed the guild leader from the guild, which as I understand it, should allow me to move into the position as soon as the guild updates. (I have plenty of allegiances updating weekly)
The trickier part, why I came here, is, now that i have access to the mayor, is there a way to move her out of the election without destroying city hall or the city? I have about 15 votes to her 30 right now, so I'm hoping that her removal would win me the election automatically. Im afraid to move on until i have some solid information though, for obvious reasons. Im waiting on a reply from the CSRs, but we know how long that can take. Could someone let me know something here asap?
Or better yet, send mea tell in game? please?
Send tell to tamiko (gorath)
or to amythyst (gorath)
Thanks.

Sadly, no.
My understanding is that the only chance in hell you have of getting the position OTHER than by voting, is if you can prove the old mayor has cancelled their account. Even then, they don't wanna do it.

Best thing to do is stack the election
Fill the city up with voters - active
Get anyone you can to drop a house and declare. Even if its temporary and they leave after the elections success
CSR's usually only help in the case of removal of the hall or the banning of the mayor.
Since you have access to the mayor (for now) make sure enough people are in the militia.
You basically have to get more active people in the city than inactive(since they default to the incumbant) that will vote.
So drop houses like a mad man
