Written to Tiggs, for possible help, anyone else have advice or words of wisdom?

Hi,
Sorry to bother you, but i wanted to explain to you how badly the changes in politician has hurt us.
Without the changes, I was set to get enough XP to drop a shuttle port and transfer the mayorship to a master politician, Now, I wont have enough XP, for 2-3 more weeks, and cant transfer mayor for 6 weeks, due to the new mayors prior obligations. I dont mnd keeping the mayoral duties, but i do mind not being able to drop the shuttle this week. 3 weeks is a long time in this game, and postponing our plans that long could have dire consequences. It was hard enough to get enough people motivated to move into the city to get our shuttle; and now keeping them motivated for 3 more weeks is going to be difficult if possible. Please let me know that you recieved this letter and are taking my comcern to heart; and if there is anything you can do, to help me get that last bit of xp early, so i can drop our shuttleport as planned and promised to my citizens before patch, please let me know.
Thank you,

I was looking forward to the resign function to leave and I'm still in office for the next 2 weeks... the sugar coating is the beleif I will not be the mayor in 2 weeks.

although.. The change was implimented and I'll be WITHOUT POLITICIAN EXP for an entire month.. .. The first week, the changes were made Bumped my reign another 3 weeks with only 1 day to the election...

/rolleyes

AND .. I'm hanging onto this profession's SP's so I can still keep the city going .. So.. I'm the mayor for a month WITH NOTHING TO SHOW for it.

Well the patch notes state politcians will be give 750 xp per week in addition to the votes. So you will not be without xp for 3 weeks, you will actually get more.

So On Wednesday morning (which is 0ne week and one day after the patch) you dont have it /bug it and whine then

if you get 750 xp each week then in two weeks you'd have more then your 1k xp needed.

yes it's a pain but trust me... it's better in the long run.

Besides, keeping your citizens happy is all part of the game. Just remember to keep trying to get more citizens and make sure to ask them to help.

A good bunch of citizens all looking for new citizens can easily get your city from 50-75 in a short matter of time... if you aren't picky about who you get. LOL

I was very disgruntled with the patch at first. You can see my threads. I complained for a while. Now I think it may be for the better. It forces citizens to be involved with the city. Before it was too easy to mass recruit, get XP, build up a huge city and let half of it become a ghost town, stopping more active but slower growing cities from reaching maximum size. This way is fairer to all I think. City improvements should be a gradual thing, not something that is maxed in three weeks.

this new change blows hard. im also getting the reem job it threw my city totally off schdule. the 750xp a week that helps absolutely no onme. instead i have to wait 3 weeks on votes that will barely help at all because we are a village.

Do you actually think the XP is gonna be handed out on wednesday??? I got my 750xp and ill get three times the votes at the end of the three weeks, which im assuming is three weeks from yesterday. Thats still sets my city back three weeks, i would have been dropping a shuttleport today, but im about 1k xp short....so it will be in three weeks.

We all lost XP. All this means is that I can now focus on other areas of the game. This is the first week I haven't done mayor stuff in ages. I don't think the change is all that bad in all honesty. It could have been a lot worse. It makes the citizens get more involved in the community and makes us do a better job of recruiting.
