This is a problem I know all too well.

I'm New Cardia's architect and one of its first citizens. The problem has never REALLY affected me in the past. I've had my problems here and there, but nothing major. After the recent patch, I got hit by "Exar" in a fashion similar to the proverbial brick to the face.

I have had millions of units of resources disappear from me; crates upon crates of components; and as a shipwright, my pile of "To-RE" loot. I have lost days of work time due to the fact that I've had so much go *poof* in the night.

I have run back and forth between two houses, since I needed components I had stored in both, only to have the things from house A disappear once I got to house B. This is a cruel fate we have had bestowed upon us, and I support TFA_Maverick's campaign completely.

I'm mayor of a heavy-traffic metropolis on Dantooine/Eclipse called New Cardia, home to more than 90 souls. We are well known and see a great deal of traffic due to our Improved Job Market and extreme proximity to the Mining Outpost, and as such are very popular and fairly powerful. However, there's a darker side to this idyllic city that is getting worse by the day.

Sometime after Publish 9.1, strange things started happening in our fair city. Bizarre things. Horrible things. For example:

* Crafters making factory runs with tons of varied resources and components on them, leaving their homes and reaching their factories only to find all of it vanished from their inventory until they log out for 30+ minutes.

* Average people walking outside and getting 20m from their building only to suddenly find all of their clothes literally ripped from their body and inventory, leaving them naked. The problem typically mysteriously corrected itself if they returned to the building from whence they came... unless they left again. Also requires log-out for 30+ minutes to fix, and then not always.

* The city garage suddenly ceases to functionfor hours at a time, and starts again, completely at random. The source of many complaints by citizens and passerby alike.

* The city shuttle, on rare occasions, becoming locked where no outbound shuttles may leave until the server resets at the end of the day. Or, more commonly, the ticket terminal ceasing to function for periods like the garage.

* The most recent, today, 8 of our trainers completely vanished from the face of the planet. No one is able to see or use them, and I can't see them to delete them and replace them.

These incidents are common to this very day, and quickly after that Pub it was coined that we are haunted by the ghost of Exar Kun. Now, every night, on guildchat comes the inevitable phrase, "Exar's at it again..."

These separate issues have been reported by me and many of our citizens countless times in the form of CSR tickets and bug reports. Each time comes more or less the same reply: "We can't do anything to help you, file a bug. Sorry." One of the more interesting ones was the information that we are near to a server line and the suggestion to just move the city. Right. Let's just pack the sucker up and move down the road... All 90+ of us, plus countless civic structures and decorations... It's strange that we existed for well over half a year in this same location without anything happening of this nature.

This has gone on for too long... we need help, desperately. We have a bustling city we have worked very hard to build and maintain, and a lot of players have invested their time and energy in making it what it is today, and hundreds more enjoy its benefits just passing through and making use of our facilities. For starters, we could just use having all of our invisible trainers cleared so we can replace them. Long term though, we need devs to look into these issues and see just what the heck is going on in New Cardia. It's nice to have a running gag, but I speak for all of our citizenry when I say we're ready to exorcise Exar's Ghost once and for all.

Well, like I said in my initial post, it IS in the vicinity of a server boundary, we're aware of that. The trick is, it didn't give us any problems at all until a specific publish, which means it is something that was introduced. From asking around, we're not the only city that's been struck with this problem... It would be nice to hear a response from a dev that this is on the radar for being addressed, instead of a CSR essentially saying to the citizens of a metropolis, "Whoops, sorry, guess our boys brought in a regression but don't care to look at it,so you can pack up your duds and move down the road!"

I used to own a tailor shop that sits on a server boundary before, and I've had problems with it ever since the game launched. I think they did do some server optimization stuff a while back, make sure you /bug what's happening in the area. I'm sympathetic, but I can't help you much

We've filed so many bug reports and tickets, nothing helps. They need to find out what's causing this and fix it...it's terrible and there shouldn't be a place where this happens, it's ridiculous and costly at times.

Indeed...this is a terrible problem that has caused so many people so many problems, not just for New Cardia but so many other cities as well, I've heard of it happening elsewhere. Devs, please do something about this, it's quite troubling and it's cost lives at times, I recall one event when our bases were being raided and my weapons disappeared and another occasion where Mystra Nightwish's armor disappeared. This has also caused problems with the garage, and is a major pain. Please do something, we'd appreciate it =)

I have a similar, although less severe, problem in my city. We have ablackhole for runtime errors at worst and massive lag spikes at best. Noone has ever lost inventory items or been stripped naked ( ) but a ton of people just crashed to desktop when they where near it. I removed a fountain, and dispersed all 14 of our vendors that where concentrated somewhat nearby the area in an arch garden. Haven't been able to log in for awhile but a friend told me in PM that the runtime errors have slowed down or stopped all together since a recent hotfix.

Never had this happen before and hopefully won't again, but I assume it comes primarilly from the server upgrades and the SE. Things went downhill, as far as latency is concerned, when that was tacked on and same goes with all these problems. Likely won't take a year to fix but it's taken that long for server stability etc. to become as good as it was so give it some time and it should fix itself as well with improved stability patches.

sounds like a server problem, maybe your city's on one or more server boundaries. unfortunately there's not much anything can do about it

Aye, hearing "Sorry, move your city down the road" isa really disappointing response to our problem. We've worked very hard to build our city, and it's become one of the best hunting cities on the server with a very distinct and well-known setup.

I am currently going through the same exact problems in a city on Shadowfire. Nobody can take items from one house to another. I submitted a TT and again got the response "there is nothing we can do". The killer thing is that we are not on a server boundry line! Not anywhere close to one from what I have been told. This is getting extremly annoying when we are told over and over that there is nothing that can be done.

I currently can not do anything. All of my armor and weps for my alt are in a house that once I get about 50m from everything that I have picked up goes *poof*. I can't craft anything with my Weaponsmith Chef template due to the fact all of my resources are split between 2 houses. So I have 3 characters that are now useless.

Someone has got to be able to do something to help take care of these problems. I know the devs are busy with "revamps" but how am I supposed to enjoy the "revamps" if I can't go out and do anything??

Sorry to sound like a whiner

Just gets very annoying as all of you know! It has been like this for about 2 weeks and still no help from ANY CSR.

Thanks for listening to me rant........

Maybe the city was built on an ancient indian burial ground?

Seriously though, that kinda stinks, we just started our own city, and I'm wondering if there is any way of telling if you built it on a server line or not...

Dantooine is cursed for sure. Likely the new upgrades they made moved the server boundaries around so that they now cross through your city. Anyone having issues like these on a planet other than dant? I know I am free and clear on Naboo.
