Thread: how time-intensive is it to start a city?
it is still something i want to do, but i want to be able to do other things i like ingame too, and ill be back at college very very soon, so i want ot know if starting a city takes up all your ingame time?
yeah, i know itll tkae a lot of time and work, but the question is: will it take more than 1-2 hours every day for the first few months?
If you just want to start a city without growth, it just takes some friends and money.
If you want a thriving, growing community you need to be on almost every day. Why? You should constantly be recruiting, helping new citizens get on their feet, looking for vendors for your mechant district, and making the city better every day. Oh, and make sure you have a few million in your bank account. The city treasury is like a sponge.
I can't find it now, but...
Just recently SOE published a couple lists of professions. One was how many people were of a profession. Politician was next to last. Another was how many game hours are spent total per profession. Politician was 9th of 60some.
Time intensive=politician
If you are thinking of the Friday Feature a couple weeks ago they released a ranked order of professions played in the game, and then released a ranking list of profession masteries. Nowhere did they list any numbers of hours played or anything.

the guild started up about 5 days ago out of the ashes of a very large guild from sunrunner with a huge, but dead, city on naboo, and i thought it would be cool to have our own. the guild is mostly combat.....and it's on dant, so i thought improved job market would be good, but then i would have to deal with credit farmers :/
