Thread: Ban bug
Is it happening with the same characters or different people? I haven't heard of this, personally, but the first step would be to determine whether it is a bug with those players, the city, or the /cityban command.
Has anyone else had this happen?
It happens with differant people. And just to make sure nothing "underhanded" was going on I even dismantled our militia so I was the only one with /cityban rights. And yet it still continues to happen. I have heard rumors that a town with our same name existed in the very early stages of our server onLok.One of my theories is maybe people were banned there and the game somehow thinks our town is the same one ?

That may very well be the case. I know that on Test Center a friend of mine had a name that had apparently belonged to someone else at an earlier time (and probably deleted) and had old e-mail from the previous owner in his mailbox after character creation.
Write up a CSR ticket (use "Submit a Ticket" from the Holocron) and include that bit of information in it. Have them check and see what's on your current ban list for the city. If you don't get a useful response, send me a PM.
