Thread: Tax Question
My question is, can the Mayor put money INTO the city's treasury? We've done many fundraisers and hope to continue to do so in lieue of high taxes, but there's no way to account for the money if the Mayor can't put it into the treasury.

I've read in 'The Answers' from Plinka that there will be a limit of 50k per day that the Mayor can access from the city's treasury.

Is it possible to set different tax rates for structures?
for Example... Merchant Tent (Comercial Tax), Harvester and Factories (Industrial Tax)...

Property tax is a percentage that gets added to the regular maintenance of a structure inside a Player City limits. For example, a structure that costs 100 credits per hour to maintain that was located in a Player City with a 10% Property Tax the structure terminal would indicate that it costs 110 credits per hour and remove from the maintenance pool accordingly. This applies to any structure, not just houses.
Income tax is a flat tax (2k credit cap) that is taken out of a citizen's bank account automatically once a week. Theoretically, at least. It's a bit borked in that it only takes it out if/when that character logs in after the update cycle. If they don't have enough credits to pay for it, nothing happens (although the Mayor was supposed to receive a notification of delinquent payment in the original design).
Sales Tax would take a percentage of a Merchant's sales and deposit the money into the city treasury--if it worked. It doesn't, and the money just goes to the Merchant.
