The initial mayor of our city is going to be kicked out as soon as the new one is elected.

This is my question. If a new mayor is elected does the former mayor who built the City Hall have the power to destroy it after he is no long mayor?

Thanks for your help.

No, the current Mayor will become the new owner of the Hall. The old Mayor will be living on the street begging for change (and a house probably).

Let us know how it goes. As far as I know this will be the first "claim" from players so far, won't it?

He could view the race moments before the election ends, and if he was losing destroy it. But once he is no longer mayor he couldn't do this.

Now, do you think the mayor could ban his opponent from entering the city structures, lol... that is almost as funny as destroying the city hall.

I'm becoming mayor of a town that was run by an almost master, I'm of course a novice. When I become mayor will all the upper lvl things dissapear from the city? Or will I just not be able to add anymore. I would feel really bad if I became mayor and then the city downgraded.

From the FAQ:

Q: If a Novice Politician is elected over a more skilled Politician, what happens to the city structures and specializations?

A: Absolutely nothing. Politician skill is used to place structures and is not required to maintain structures. Structures and specializations are reliant on the city rank to continue to operate.

You're good to go. You won't be able to move the higher level structures, but they won't go anywhere.

TheJediDoc, yes this is one of the most nerve racking issues in game! Could you imagine becoming a Mayor and all the buildings going poof?

Wont take you long to gain master if you have a good number of people in town to vote for you, and odds are you are going to be churning the city right away anyway.

G'luck!
