Thread: Reguarding transfering of structures while in office

As current mayor if I transfer or have transfered to me a structure it will un declare me as a resident of the city, does this in anyway endanger our city or do I just simply need to redeclare before next election or something?

If you have a mayor your residence is automatically set to city hall, and cannot be changed unless you are not mayor anymore. Are you sure transferring a structure undeclares you as a citizen ?

While not mayor I have had my residency un declared while transfering house ownership to another player or having one transfered to me...Im unsure of which now eitehr way I dont want to endanger the city in any way just for a simple transfer of residence.
The situation is as follows...I placed a large house for a fellow guild mate (before I was mayor)because he did not have the lots available for one so I placed for him and declared there and he lives there. He placed a medium for me and declared there but I live in the medium. What we want to do now that he has the lots is give him his large house on his lots and take have me takeownership of the medium. Im afraid that in there somewhere I will endanger the city. I did not place the city hall I am the second mayor they have had when the first moved on. Even if I am registered through the city hall wont all this transfering still cause problems?
If Im declared through the city hall, this transfering of houses wont cause a problem by booting me out of residency and leaving the city with no mayor ? I have had problems in the past transfering structures by being booted out of city registry and militia, having to be reinvited in is the only reason I am asking :-)
Hope Im not being too difficult hehe sounds alot like "whos on first"

It won't be a problem for the city!
You are registered resident in the city hall and you can't touch that ... even if you declare in another house in another city or whereever you don't lose mayorship nor does the city delete itself or anything ... presently nothing can get you out of the mayor seat exept being outvoted and deleting your char.
You only lose residence of a normal house if you /transfer it to a friend and you are registered. You don't lose residence if somebody /transfers a house to you and you are registered in another house ... only when you go to the structure terminal and select the "declare residence" feature you will change residence (and loose it for a short time)
