Hello , I am a new poltiician and well , I think it would be nice to have npcs that walk around like the other cities, it adds flavor to the city. Also has any devs said anything about getting Spynet ops? I am in a Bounty Hunting Guild and well without the Spynet ops the BH terminal are kinda useless. From what I see they really need to give the politician some more abilties seeing , its more or less a useless class for the most part.
Other things I would like to see is ability to move land , i.e. like Scout Camps and such you can place them on hills and such with no problem. If they gave us the option of leveling out a area say perhaps at extra maintance charge or say a flat rate a week to escavate the land. Also well I have read it on the forums, player star port. A drawing for mayors for each planet and the galaxy to get star port for opening of Jump to Lightspeed would be awesome.

Best way to get NPC's currently is to take a couple of crafting missions from a mission terminal and just deactivate your waypoints. The NPC's won't walk around but they'll be there for the "look" of a real city.

Yeah, yeah... I'll give the Dogg his due. Props to Hound for giving me this idea. I felt kinda dumb for not thinking of it sooner...

Starports would be nice but IF they implement this they need to take away any shuttle ports that city might have because they do double as transportation to other shuttleports on the planet. Then maybe give that shuttleport replaced by a starport and give to cities that have been passed over in past rank cappings....Also the city should be a Metropolis to be able to qualify for a starport as well that would seem logical. You wouldnt see a starport in the middle of an outpost after all.

Direct from the devs (at Fan Fest). Not gonna happen. Terrain engine issues. Perhaps we need to FAQ this, Pappi?

I suspect, also, that when SWG loads for the day, it loads everything from a single copy of the updated code, and then loads in all the server-specific stuff. So...presumably this means all the NPC cities, including the starports, are loaded first since they are all the same across the galaxy (and incorporated fully into the game landscape and terrain), and then the PCs are loaded. So, a PC Starport would be out of the question becuase it would have to load in the server-specific portion, and that's probably not a good idea.

I'm actually working on an FAQ (if you can only see the "FAQ.html" on my desktop), but paused because I'm not feeling well. I'll get back to it soon

Another alternative is to take low level delivery missions, then abort them once you've gotten to the target. Might take a while, but you should be able to populate a small city in an hour or so.
The downside is, you've got to do that every day.
