Greetings Everyone-
Granted I have not posted as often as I should on the Forums I do however read them frequently enough to keep up-to-date on alot of the issues other players seem to have. I have been mayor of my guilds city since April 2004 and have enjoyed every moment of it. However, there are several complaints about the Politician Skill I do have.
#1: 77 Skill Points to just make your city look pretty? Really, unless you have a strong love to continue moving things and changing things around, what a waste of SP. If we were given more options to do various Player City things (ie having more control over what actually happens in your city) would be nice.
#2: I believe its what.. 500 AP needed to pick up Novice Politician and another 620 to Master Politician? Lets face it... many, many mayors I know on my server are second account players and are rarely ever online or not that active in Politician therefore limiting those of us that really only have 1 1/2 other mastered skills to find someone willing enough to let you train them in something... and then usually ending up having to fork over some mega cash to get that AP.
#3: The Alternative or even another added suggestion to someone that loves the politician skill but is so bloody sick of trying to work around INACTIVES houses is to give us a /citykick option. I find it so hilarious that in the actual holocron in the game it states to BRIBE someone to leave your city if they are a disruptive citizen. Ok, I get the humor factor in that, because Politics really is quite scandalous but really... c'mon! In stating that we should actually bribe a disruptive citizen to leave OUR city is quite ridiculous to me. With the /citykick option the former citizens house would simply be demolished or put back into the citizens inventory. It really is quite sad that we do not have this option as we are sort of like the "LandLords" of our city. It's even more frustrating when you have so many inactives houses sitting in your city just taking up much needed space. I've never strived to be the biggest or the best, but it does get quite irritating that these "disruptive citizens" can freely come into my city and cause so many problems for other players but yet I'm told the only thing i can do is to bribe them to leave?!? And with Inactives Houses... oh my. I could go on and on about this subject for hours upon hours.
#4: Last but certainly not least, I originally picked up Politician for my guild so they could have a city... and ended up absolutely loving this Prof. I love to mix things up in the city and change it around... gives me something to do when nobody else is online. However, with the lack of items and abilities this skill has to offer it really is quite a wasted proffession. Not that i will ever drop it because i do love it... just really think that the DEVS need to focus on some of the "non-combat" profs. more then they do.

It is well known that there is a problem with inactive players and all that. One of them is the city becomes a ghost town with changes unable to be made. The other is that a new Mayor iis unable to be elected. Unfortunatly your solution (to /citykick) brings about an even bigger problem. Dictatorship. Just to fill you in on a couple of things you may have missed. A person once placed a city hall outside of Cnet right along the Wall placing all of the venders there under his domain. If he had had the power to kick them out he could have forced them to have thier venders with all of their items collapse. I am certainlyglad this is not .... and never will be ... an option for us Mayors to persue.
