Thread: Question about prexisting residents in area of new city

Does someone know how this works... when a city hallis placed,will players that havealready declaredresidence in their houses prior to the placement of the city hall within the territory of the newly formed city automaticly count as residents or dothey have to redeclaretheir residence?

I believe if they are already declared they need to walk in and out their front door. I'm not positive but I think that's how it works.

What if you city size expands, and suddenly houses are in your city that you don't want them to be?
We have several outlaying patches of people who placed houses *just* outside city limits to greif us, but when we move up to the metropolis level (only a few citizens away!) and we gain 100m, they'll be in....
This could do bad things to our city

people that have declared residency there, once city has expanded to encompas their house's control terminal will become citizens when the log in.
This includes the establishment of a new city.
I do not belive that they need to enter the residence, but cannot confirm this. It's possible that every citizen that I've had added this way was in/near their house when they logged in....
