Just wondering where I can find out about what has been done to fix Politician/cities sincetheir inception.
I guess my previous thread was interpreted as negative, which it was not.

Hm.
Looks like your thread is still there. Maybe it fell below your viewing horizon?
Good call.
I will refrain from flaming even though I have a few choice words for people that abuse the star system like that.

It all depends on how you view "recent"
. Past 3-4 months? Nothing, sorry, we're just not top priority when it comes to fixes and changes these days.

I think you'd be better off just taking the profession as it is right now and using that as your starting point, rather than trying to get a summary reiteration of changes, since there have been no changes recent enough for you to be out-of-the-loop on
Good luck!

Let's see.. Since Player Cities went in?
* The /citywarn command was removed. (It was being used for griefing people.)
* The ability to use slash commands in city structures was removed. (Same deal, it was being abused.)
* The advanced specializations were removed from the Master Politician box (They were deemed "buggy". Although it took frickin months to receive an answer regarding why they were removed. This also rendered the Master Politician skillbox totally useless.)
* Player garages were added. (Yay!)
* Taxes have become broken. (Boooooooo!)
* The planetary city caps were upped... very slightly... one time...
* An "inactive citizen purge" thingy was put in to remove any citizens who hadn't logged in for 6 weeks. Details about how exactly this worked are still vague. Anyways, it has since been disabled since it was also declared "buggy". The one-time purge was effective in removing cross-server trade citizens and cleaning up some issues where players were citizens of more than one city.
* After several months, the Bio-Engineer trainer was finally added to the list of placable trainers. For some unknown reason, it was the only trainer missing from the list.
* Did I mention that taxes are broken?
* The CSRs have seem to come up with some sort of policy regarding Mayors who "grief" their citizens by destroying the City Hall. What this policy is exactly, I couldn't tell you. But there have been reports of players being helped by CSRs when a Mayor has maliciously destroyed the town.
* There have been some very vague mentions of Player Cities having a role in the GCW once that is revamped. Lord knows when we'll see that happen.
I think that about covers it.
Not a whole lot of big changes that help us out. But try being a Smuggler, and this list doesn't seem nearly that bad.

I think you should just rephrase the question to " when is there going to be politician changes", and expect a date before 2007
