Thread: How much do you charge for taxes?
Couldn't find another post on this, sorry if I'm repeating stuff.
How much are you folks charging for your taxes? We've got ours set at a rock bottom 1000cr income, 2% sales and a whopping 0 property tax. Now that we've finally got a shuttleport, we're going to have to raise a little more caysh, so I was wondering what everyone else is charging.
We have 2k income which covers most of the cost. People donate the rest willingly.
When we get a shuttle, it should pay for itself with a 100 to 150 credit fee.We're 7k from any other shuttle and very near 3 very cool POI (Captain Hassk's Swamp Town, Imperial Hyperdrive Facility, and a pvp battlefield).
I don't charge any tax except for a 50cr shuttle fee.
I do send out regular emails (as we get new citizens) explaining that I will never charge any taxes, ever, but that we obviously do still need money to maintain the city, and so we appreciate those affluent citizens who wish to donate and do so on a regular basis. We have over 2.5 million in the treasury and it keeps going up.
1000 income tax
4% sales tax
100 credits shuttle tax.
I was originally going to set it up to 50 credits but it keeps resetting itself to 100 credits so I'm letting it this way until this is fixed.
500cr income
10% property
3% sales (and just had a merchant guild move to our city)
100cr shuttle (due to it resetting anyway)
We get the 500k/week together with this system
I don't charge tax, I only collect 'em.

Shuttle: 100
