forum guidelines

edit: seriously, please follow those posting guidelines. also, I reserve my rights to NOT read threads/posts that contains the following:

- "/sign", "/bump" or any variation thereof
- threads that consist of mostly "/sign"
- anything with the topic "petition", "devs please read", etc.
- flames, trolls, or anything that pisses me off
- folks that can't spell politician (for crying out loud, it's right there on the top of the forum), or doesn't bother to run their post thru a simple spell check.

since I'm not paid to read your rants, I really don't have to put up with the "omgwtf" posts. I bring up issues... I'm not a CSR and can't do CSR work, nor can I go "tell" the devs anything, mmk? be good

- anything with the topic "petition", "devs please read", etc

does that include a "Possible fixes" thread?

You don't petition the dev's to fix a bug, you bring up that there is a bug. Both via /bug in the game and the forums here where pappi sends it along. After that, and it becoming a "known issue", it is out of our collective hands. Even pappi's although she can be a bigger pest about it then we can. Petition and "read me" posts are just general ideas that are pretty well planned out and most of the time sweeping changes, or when it comes to the former just a giant whine thread about the developers not "fixing" something soon enough.

A good example is the desire to resign from the race. Well it isn't broken since we need that to be implemented. It isn't implemented since that takes code time away from more important things. Well it's been a year since we asked for it and people are just pissy now and demanding the devs fix it and showing that this new feature has a lot of support (signatures) Neither of them actually do what they are intended and are just giant wastes of space. I mean would you prefer a 100 post long thread that just says /sign or a 100 post long thread with reasonable discussion over an idea? The "dev's please read me" is close to getting that but having that as a title is more or less idiotic. If they're going to lurk in the forum having your thread named READ ME!!! isn't going to attract their attention any more-so then any other thread. Hell they're probably just in here to check up on some posts Pappi suggested or for random thoughts and trivia.

It could be worse though, I mean look at some of the other professions. Quit complainig pap's you've got it light

What a shame. You are missing out on many really great posts with pertinent opinions then.
