Well, ive been mayor of a player city since they have been implemented, and survived two attempts at guild takeover, but sadly i have decided to move on. The catch is, i havent lost the election yet to the new potential mayor as there arn't enough active players to overcome the inactives (votes for the incumbent). Its been like this for weeks, and despite my efforts to get the town to vote for the other guy, they are still losing by upwards of 50 votes / week.
I've even gone so far as to let them know that if they cant get enough people to vote me out (along with me sending emails DAILY to the residents reminding them to vote against me) i would consider destroying city hall, so i could actually leave and not be forced to stay in a profession that has lost al ot of lustre for me.
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, and i hope i made enough of an effort to allow someone else to take over. I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks about this, and if this situation is more prevalent than i have thought.
~A burnt out mayor.
Oh, this is more of an afterthought, as im more curious as to everyone's input on what they would have done.

Nothing to do but call in all yourfriends and have them help vote you out... but, on an up note, you can drop all the politician skills and nothing bad will happen to your city... you will simply be unable to change any of the settings as they now stand.
