Thread: We really need the ability to remove unused houses

I have about 10 players wanting to move into my city, they wanted to clump the houses together, however we have a few houses that have been left in the city and the player has quit the game. It is annoying to have these darn houses stay there forever. At the very least, if someone cancels their account, the house should be removed immediately or within 2 weeks of any cancelled account. There is simply NO EXCUSE for leaving dead structures in place using up the database and screwing up the player cities.
I think this should be the number ONE issue with player cities. How can we make a city attractive if it is cluttered with unused houses?

They will not be addressing this issue anytime soon. The closest publish dealing with a revamp of player cities will probably be near the release (if not included) of the Space Expansion as the next publishes are being dedicated to droids/image designers/jedi. Until then we have to cross our fingers and hope the idle citizens homes are destroyed with low maintenance after their 6 weeks of non-activity are up. I wouldnt count on those unused homes going anywhere for awhile so I would start focusing on a new way to incorporate those new citizens into your city. Best of luck...

At least the ability to click on a structure and know who it belongs to. I have a food factory in one corner of our mall area and it annoys me to no end. i have no idea who it belongs to and no one seems to want to fess up.
