Well, I guess it was the last curtain call. I was really hoping that you would come back, even if not in a official capacity. Good luck in all you do, may your pack be light and the path you walk an easy one. You have done an outstanding job and I thank you.

I read thru this post trying to figure out what to say. I don't think there are enough words if there are right ones to say how we all as a community feel at this time.

I have been thru the other professions forums, even some of the other galaxies. Flames, whines, locked threads in such a way that I barely read even my own galaxy forum. This where I do my reading.

The ability to put aside differences, and personal issues to better our community is why I am here. I love being a Ranger. The people are the best, lead by a correspondent that went beyond the call of duty to help his compadres. Setting the example for us as Rangers, and all professions in all galaxies.

Forget being anything else, "I am a Ranger". Period.

To NRaas: Fair winds and following seas. May your path be gold and the road always rise to meet you. My camp will always have place for youby the fire. May the force be with you and yours.

Sorry to hear the news, good luck on all your future endeavors. I believe your successor will have his work cut out following in your footsteps.

So, I go away for a coupla weeks and the world has come to an end. Good luck NRaas, we all wish you the best in wahtever you do. We also know that you can't stay away forever, and sincerely await your return.

I did not read this entire thread as I am still in a bit of shock, but if we are nominating anyone JBMat is my choice as well. He makes solid arguments and is pretty much a no-BS kinda guy. If it's anyone else, they got some big shoes to fill bud.

Are you happy now!?! I'm crying AND I'm on fire! Great!

Seriously though, your work has been exemplary, your honor has been without question, and your feet have been without shoes. Thanks for the training in getting me to Master Ranger (once, long ago...), helping me with finding my way to the Antarian Rangers (few though we are on Corbantis), and always being the one with the toothy, leathery smile.

I too have been kept away from the boards for a couple of weeks due to my own real-life obligations and coming back to this news was the last thing I could ever have thought to, or have been scared to, imagine. Come back as soon as you can!

One more thing: can I have your stuff?

Though I haven't been an active poster here on this forum I am what one would consider a lurky. I allways very much appreciated the way you handled things here on the Ranger Profession Forum. You set a mature tone for all discussions yet were open to even the craziest ideas we came forth with. Your dedication to the profession was allways outstanding and set a glowing example for other Correspondents. You will be sorely missed. I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavours.

I pitty the one who will have to put on your boots. You have set a staggering benchmark for him/her.

Take care in what ever you are going to do now.

This is what I get for not paying much attention to the ranger boards for a few weeks. NRaas, if you still stop by and read these messages, my hat is off to you. I probably would have actually given up ranger if we hadn't had someone like you fighting for us. Best wishes.

Calculus, you've taken up the mantle beautifully. Keep us moving in the right direction.

They really need to make an option so that you can resign as mayor, having to destroy city or hope that the majority of people will vote for someone else or vote at all for that matter in the same week is horrible.

currently there's no other way it has been done, but the community agrees that we need a more efficient way for mayor resignation.

Destroying city hall is the most drastic thing you can do to your city. Unfortunately it was the only way to get a new mayor into office due to all the inactive players we had! From near metroplis (85 people) to outpost in one fell swoop!

Back at 42 now 4 weeks later!
