Horizon Isle, Corellia, Starsider

It has been a like no other in Horizon Isle's history. Mayor DavidII Trebonious stepped down and the opponent that had been running against him for the last two weeks was elected. Mayor Max-Dragon Outrider (me ) now steers Horizon Isle on a more exciting course. Horizon Isle was the first city to be placed by the guild known as Rebel Squadrons. At the birth of the city many of the PA members flocked to live there. But then a second city was built by Rebel Squadrons on Dantooine called Castoria. This was the city that the PA planned on making the biggest city. Horizon Isle was forgotten and neglected. Mayor Trebonious kept the city running as best as he could but many moved to the new city of Castoria. Horizon Isle's early glory was over and the big brother city Castoria dominated the hearts of the Rebel Squadrons members. Horizon Isle was reduced from40 members down to the 35 minimum needed for the level 3 status that it had achieves early on. Mayor Trebonious has kept Horizon Isle running all this time yet Horizon Isle felt more like a ghost town with only a handful of its citizens ever spending more than 5 minutes on the island.

Thentwo weeks ago Mayor Trebonious had finaly grown weary of leading an lifeless city and decided to step down as mayor. The Rebel Squadrons PA was asked to find a new candidate for mayor. As soon as Mayor Trebonious had sent an e-mail to the citizens informing them of his desire to step down Max-Dragon Outrider quickly aquired the skills of Novice Politician and put his name down for the role as the new mayor. Max-Dragon Outrider outlined his plans and waited for any competition to show themselves from the PA. No such competition surfaced and with the PA's blessing he ran for mayor. At the end of the first week the results were in only 8 people voted for Max-Dragon Outrider. The other 27 had not listened to the call of Mayor Trebonious, the PA's Command Staff andOutrider himself. The 27 votes had all been those automatically given to the mayor when a vote had not been personally placed.

Both Mayor Trebonious and Max-Dragon Outrider were highly annoyed that only 8 out of the 35 members of Horizon Isle had actually bothered to return to their home city to vote. Outrider ran again for mayor but this time put his own plans into action for getting the votes. Straight away the 8 people that had voted the previous week voted once again. Outrider's plans had originaly been intended to be implemented after winning the election but desperate times called for a change in plans. Outrider opened talks with a new guild looking for a place to set up. The guild leader agreed to come to Horizon Isle and have his members all make homes in the city boundary. Horizon Isle now had two PAs on the island and working together to make the city great. As 5 new citizens were quickly added from the new PA's ranks Outrider opened talks with yet another guild. Just like the previous guild they imediately took up the chance to build their fledgling guild in the city boundary in return for financial support in purchasing a guild hall. Horizon Isle gained another3 citizens through the second new PA. The Rebel Squadrons also gained3 new members during this time and Outrider quickly talked them into making Horizon Isle their home. Horizon Isle had now recieved the biggest influx of citizens since its birth. A total of 11 new members had joined Horizon Isle in the last week. Since the building of Castoria, Horizon Isle had gained a few citizens but lost the same number seemingly to be stuck at 35 for eternity. But Horizon Isle now rose to 46 citizens, the greatest number of citizens ever to be part of the little city. Each one of the new members placed their vote for Max-Draon Outrider to become the next mayor. Yet this was only 18 votes.

The Rebel Squadrons guild called their weekly meeting and with it came several of the missing members of Horizon Isle. 6 of them were ordered to place their vote for Max-Dragon Outrider before the time of the update arrived. Early Sunday morning GMT Max-Dragon Outrider was proclaimed the new mayor of Horizon Isle.

The city that had been a ghost town for several months had just seen a sudden increase in population and the replacement of its long standing mayor.

We just became a level-4 city on the Bria server on Dantoine. We are located near the imperial outpost. We placed our shuttle port today and already notice alot of activity with many people coming from Ghost Town. It was alot of hard work getting to level-4 before the planet cap is reached. We were the 14th city to get a shuttle and another city got their shuttle the very next day. Only 5 more cities can reach level-4 now to get their shuttle, which will happen in the next 1 to 2 weeks.

We have a good variety of skill trainers. With next weeks update we will become a stronghold. Two weeks after that we will have faction terminals. We are an imperial city with mostly covert imperials and neutrals. We will have a 2nd guild hall in the next few weeks with growing membership. Also, there will be vendors in the city in the next few weeks.

Life is good in the city now that we have a shuttle and see many more people coming through our city.
