Lol, taxation without representation. I assume that you all have study United States history. Yeah this same idea is what lead to the revolutionary war.

This post conveys no meaning whatsoever. Do that many people not realize that *all* structures in every city are already taxable?
This proposal is about providing a means of varying that rate based on residence. It addresses a problem which will become much more important if the current TC notes come to fruition. Don't like the tax rate? Declare residence (thus helping the city survive and/or grow) and get the tax break.
The big problem is that cities will be running out of room as players move on but their structures remain behind (meaning the city has new residents who would like to move in to replace those who have quit/moved on etc, but they can't because those old houses are in the way), and every undeclared house within city limits becomes more and more of a liability as time goes on. Mayors need options to reward players for citizenship.
