Lost 15, and now have 70. Plenty of house-turds around town too. I tried uping the property tax to burn those down, but everyone flipped out.

And why does everyone talk about WoW like its gonna end SWG?? I have never played Blizzard games, they aren't all that.

We lost 8, but I knew those were going. We're gaining 4 more though, so it shouldn't be too bad. I am going to reduce taxes too.

We went on a huge recruiting drive in the weeks before the first strike of this rule, and managed to take our city from 56/57 up to 73 (at its highest point). We had even convinced some citizens who we knew had left but still had houses to maintain their residency until we got over the hump.

Just before the update we lost 2 residents who had mved to other cities (and were under pressure to declare there to bolster numbers), and then when the update came, we lost 13 in all that dropped us back 58 - a close run thing.

All-in-all we lost a few dead accounts and about 3 bugged residents (which was nice), and we also lost 2 active players (who have since returned andre-activated their residency) and another couple of actives who haven't returned. We also lost 3 residents who are serving in Iraq which made us angry.

Since the loss though, and with some excellent recruiting by some of our folks, we have climbed back up into the mid 60's again and are now aiming for Metropolis status within the next month (we are gaining residents at a rate of 1 to 2 a day).

It does get worrying that this is going to be a continuing feature EVERY BLOODY WEEK from here on in. And its also disturbing to see that the residents get kicked BEFORE THE UPDATE TAKES PLACE!!! completely contrary to the pittance of information that TH provided. I guess it's to be expected from a company that treats its customers like mushrooms.

I suppose that this is SOE's way of giving Politicians something to do (seeing as how they prevent us from doing anything else).

At the end of the day though its idiotic ideas and implementations like this that are ruining the game for myself, and many others. I personally know of 9 people who quit the game the day that they lost residents (and watched months of work and effort go down the toilet). You would think that they would wake up to it - but I for one am not holding my breath over it.

Down to 55 here, and trying to find ways to make living in the city worthwhile. Lost 20, easily, but managed to attract a few new residents as well. I see only a few cities represented here that aren't struggling with this new rule....maybe it's not a good rule?

First week of inactivity, we lost 5 and then 3 houses decayed that day. Went from 66 to 58 but built back up to 65. One of the inactive residents was only gone for 3 weeks but he returned to reclaim residency. The second week, lost only 1 due to inactivty and pick up 2 more residents. Waiting to see what happens to us tomorrow. I'm expecting to lose 1, 2 at the most.
