The mayor of my city was an alt. My boyfriend and I thought it was a waste of money to pay for a character who was only used to keep the city alive. We hadcanceled the alt's account.
I am now the mayor of my city (muahehe)and will be much more active in this forum. So... /greet!

Full time mayor and swordsman/scout on Chim here.
Just inherited a city, moved upto level 4 and im actively recruiting new citizens.

I've played Cigaran since day one and do have a few other accounts for other stuff I like to do. I was a Novice Architect when the city was formed and got the job of helping build it. Needless to say, the city was my ticket to master Architect. Once our founding mayor left, I took office and then passed on the Architect to my main alt so that I could keep costs to the city down.
Happily leading my citizens and Smuggling to this day...

Well actually my alt is mayor but somehow since she became mayor she dominates and my poor main character is delegated to the background.

am thinking of getting an alt, but not for my mayor position - i find it needed to act. being abel to chat with the mayor that the city term says is the mayor, not some alt char.

My main is the mayor. Former mayor was an alt and I felt the city needed a full time mayor. For our city, it was the best way to go. People have always told me sheis the heart of the city. Their commitment to the city is connected to their commitment to her. That makes it easier to get the support the city needs. The city went from being in debt to having a surplus when she took office last July and has had a surplus ever since. That relationship with the people make what could have been an annoying side job a pleasure instead,most of the time.She is master dancer/master merchant, so she is very active. I do have alts for holding harvesters on their lots and crafting products so I have an income and so our mall has more products.

My main is the mayor of my town. She is master politician/tkm with a lil bit o merchant. My alt goes around and helps with all the killing of rebs and harvesting resources to keep my funds alive
