Hello,
I checked the FAQ and stickies for this, but couldnt get an answer for this.
If a players house, inside my city, runs out of maintenance in the house, and his perman AFK character has 0 credits to his name, what happens to the house?
Thanks.

Well once it reaches condemned status, presumably it'll disappear if either the character is deleted or the player account maintenance is done.

Not 6 months after being condemned.

Once a house reaches condemned status it will remain until the character purge, be that 6 months or 6 weeks or 6 years. From what Tiggs has said, these structures are going nowhere, regardless of condemnation, until that purge hits and wipes them clean.

Once that purge happens, it is my understanding that it should happen at regular intervals after that, each time clearing up accounts that have been cancelled for 6 months in addition to clearing out deleted characters and condemned housing.

Good grief...read the whole thread first :/

just 2 posts above yours, I posted the following as a quote from Pappi about what Tiggs said on the matter.

And in case anyone reads this thread and missed it in the FAQ
Pappi posted:

the word from the bosslady (Tiggs): "Condemned houses will stay until the time that the Character/House Purge system kicks in and clears out houses of inactive characters and cancelled accounts." no word on when the purge will be (I made sure to ask)

So while they will go away if the toon is deleted, they will not go away when the maint pool is empty. When the Maint pool is empty, the house then becomes condemned. After the house is condemned, according to Tiggs, the purge is the only thing that clear a condemned house.

The purge is also called player account maintenance.

And what CSR's have told me repeatedly told me is what I posted even though I've told them again and again that I realize this and just want the literal date of their departure. A home will also destroy itself when the character gets deleted via the character purge but not everyone has a cancelled account, some just swap servers etc.
